Limiting Kazaa search to countries
Hello,
Is there a feature or plugin for Kazaa (lite) that allows
you to limit a search only to IPs within a certain
geographical region? I'm much into folk music, so this
would be quite handy and I can't imagine a reason why
it shouldn't be possible.
I haven't researched Kazaa's network structure,
but if it was a graph I would try to start at a node within
this country/region and then only follow nodes which are
most likely to be within that region. Actually, if there is no
such plugin (but you still tell me it would be doable), I
might be interested in writing it.
Thank you.
Toby

High Fidelity
when you search in kazaa, you automatically search the nodes that are in your region and then slowly moving away and eventually (hours later) search the whole network. If you want to choose the country that you connect to, use kazupernode. And no, you can't limit the search in your region only.

Thanks for the useful tip! I reckon I should get a Kazaa supernode list (.kzn-files) for the region I'm looking for and then check "Try to stay in the same country". I'll do some searches for those lists. Where would you go to get supernode lists? Is there some sort of online database or a scanning tool which would give me a list of supernodes for a given country?

Ok, I think I found what I wanted at

Anyway, if anyone has other suggestions, I'd be interested.
