Does anyone know why there is such a difference in how these two versions of winmx handles queuing? I've got both installed on my pc. Whenever I do a search with 2.6 the majority of hits are from users with availiable capacity, and it makes getting the file a breeze.
Searching with 3.xx however, results with few if any hits with users with available capacity, and most of the time there are 20-30 or more ppl in queue. Which means a lot of waiting.
If I've got plenty of time and lots of files to download, I use winmx 3.22, switch on auto-complete, and simply leave the computer to do it's job. Whenever I want to download a song/file quickly, however, I have found 2.6 to be much more convenient to use
any opinions on this?
I have had the same experience with WinMX3.22. It was so bad that i have given up altogether and returned to 2.6.
I asked in a lot of other places to see if anyone knows if there was ever a version 2.7. I seem to remember something like it but maybe I am confusing it with WinAmp.
To my best knowledge there was never a 2.7 and i have noticed i got a lot more qued results than available slots sometimes. I still use winmx 3.22 as of right now but for the msot part i pretty much like the new version and i am sure it will get better as more bugs get worked out and newer versions get released and more people switch to the new one. I believe they said new updates should be coming sometime soon hopefully. :mellow

Eventually 2.6 users will move to 3.22 (they are different networks). That's why I use 3.22. Besides, I never found so many files in 2.6, although it's true that there are not many free slots.

If that is granted, all else follows
The reason for so many files to be like that is swarming, because the fact in 2.6 you download from one user for each file and the other 20 users that have that file r not being botherd, but with swarming u d/l from all those users which make it qeued for others.
