Where can I get the best video and audio codecs?

Just yesterday I hadda reinstall my WinXP, and I'm not sure if the codecs are working since some of the songs and video files can't be played. That and I wanna watch the old school Real Ghostbusters cartoons at my aunt's house.

By the way, anyone know where I could get those old episodes?

    Thanks anyway.

you can get divx at www.divx.com and xvid at www.xvid.org . if any of your movies still dont work after that, grab a copy of g-spot codec finder to figure out what you need.

divx will work for most of your everyday files, but if it doesn't try the Nimo Codec Pack. search for it on google. It has most codecs you'll need, and its a rare file that it won't have a codec for.

as for your cartoons, try emule, or kazaa if you want to risk it.

the nimo pack sucks in comarison the the kazaa lite codec pack. Nimo has not updated his pack in a long time, and all of the codecs are old. So get the kazaa lite codec pack.

hmm I would recommend getting the full codec pack from kazaa lite.
if your concerned with using the codec pack get gspot and look at the neccesary codecs you will need for a particular file you have.
You can do it on a case by case basis but in the end kazaalite codec pack is the most useful.
*thats what i use and i have no problems with it.
An although I am not currently using xp, I do know lots of people who are using it and they have no problems with using it or installing it on their puters.

now you have a choice on what you want to use.
