    Ugh!! Disappeared!!

    I was downloading a file and it said that it completed. I click on "Clear Completed."

    I went into the "incoming" folder to get the file and it is not there. Where'd it go!?!?!

    I'm currently conducting a Search to look for it and so far, its not turning up!

    bug in edonkey

    Yeah the donkey does that sometimes. You will need to go into edonkey's folder and look in the temp folder. It's there but you will need to remember it's length or look for a file that does have a coresponding met file. As you will see there are paired files. met and part.
    Once you think you know which file it is copy into a empty folder and rename it and see if that is your file. If it is then you can delete the part file.

    I actually found the .part but there is no .met file.

    I've tried that before, only the part file is larger than the actual file, so how's it going to work?

    copy the file

    ok so if you looked and found a orphin file. (a file which does not have a corresponding partner file)
    just copy it as I said (till you are sure it is what your looking for)
    now rename it to anything you want with the extension you hopefully remember it had.
    be it zip,rar,iso,mp3 or whatever it was.
    Now just use it as you would have if you had completed your download and nothing had happened.
    If you had actually completed the download it will open and you can use it, whatever it is.
    for example;
    I download a rar file, it did not appear. I went and found a orphin file where I have indicated and I copied it to a temp folder. I renamed it to 1.rar and opened it and there was the contents of the original file I was downloading whch in this case was a collection of mp3's.
