Just because you disagree with a post means you are going to close it, just like that, without a chance for anybody else to respond but you (sounds like an RIAA tactic).? Well at least that shows me what type of site you are moderating, a pretty fclose-minded one if you ask me. One where there appears to be more concern for someone using CAPS THEN THERE IS FOR THE ISSUES AFFECTING US ALL!!!! The "COMPACT DISC MINIMUM ADVERTISED PRICE ANTITRUST LEGISLATION" that you referred to in your response to my original post established standards for the recording industry and distributors to follow, which they haven't ,and subsequently, are in direct violation of their settlement agreement. I have an MBA and have been working in the "REAL BUSINESS WORLD" (not cyber) for quite some time now. From experience, I can easily recognize a legal problem when I encounter one (as is the case with the recording industry) yet my background is in finance, not law. The only reason I posted on this site was to inform those who may be less informed (the younger generation, which I am guessing you are a part of) of the only possibility that exists to really stop the RIAA, which is taking them to court, YET I DIDN'T WANT TO USE "LEGALESE" OR REFER TO PRIOR CASES. Honestly, do you think little rallies and boycotts will stop the RIAA, hell no, its only adding fuel to their fire. SO WITH OUT FURTHER ADIEU...I'LL LET YOU GET BACK TO MODERATING POSTS WHILE I TRY TO FIND A REAL LEGAL RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM THAT WILL SOON BE PLAGUING US ALL. The RIAA will not stop, regardless of how many techie solutions the industry comes up with to "mask " the identity of P2P users. The RIAA will win this battle if we don't all band together and come up with a real, solid, legal solution. So telling someone not to waste their time (as you did in your reply to my post) on searching for a legal solution is plain ignorant. Others may have been able to respond and come up with a solution we could all take part in, yet you quashed our ability to ever find out. I thank you for letting your ignorance shine so I can move on to the next site and state my case that everyone stand up now and work on finding a legal solution before we are all on the "subpoena" lists. No need to respond to this message because I won't be coming to this site anymore (nor will I read any e-mails from here either), I have to be frugal with my time and dedicate it to those places where people are a bit more informed and will help to make a difference in turning back the RIAA . Not a site where "posting etiquette" supersedes the real problems. Furthermore, feel free to remove my name/user id from any forum capabilities as a result. BTW the RIAA compaines were allready sued for price fixing by the FCC a few years ago and lost.

I don't know why I feel a need to address this but I will. First of all it is a given that you don't know me but if you had bothered to search my profile you would see that I am a 36 year old from Texas and not some AOL kiddie that you accused me of being.

I did not close your thread because I diagreed with it. I closed it because, again if you had bothered to search, on another thread it was stated by the mods that any RIAA threads started that dealt with subjects discussed ad nauseum or started to incite panic would be closed period. We have specific rules here and you chose to either ignore them or didn't bother to read them. As far as your desire to help, great. Do you know how many people we've had come in here out of the blue in the last month that was going to show us how to survive because we're too stupid? Give it a rest fella. Most people here know a hell of a lot more than you give them credit for.

As far as your MBA goes, who cares? That and a $1.50 will buy you a cup of coffee. I went to college also and have both a masters degree and a bachelors degree. Big friggin deal. I still don't try to pass myself off as the P2P messiah or try to act like I have some great knowledge over these mere p2p kids as you like to refer to them.

And one final point before I close the book on this and you. If you were so professional , you would have contacted me in PM as opposed to calling me out in public and you wouldn't use capital letters for everything. But as an MBA graduate you should know this.

So to sum up, read the forum and get a feel for what is acceptible before opening your mouth or just keep shooting it off and we'll close the threads. It's really your choice.
