Port/Connection Question HELP
I have recently added a nother computer to my network, (now 2 connected through a router). Is there a reason why winmx 3.22 will only allow upload, and no download of info? Is it a possible port issue? if so please provide steps to correct. If not, what could it be? I have a cable modem, wondering if i should be connecting some other way. Thanks for any assistance.

I have two computers connected to WinMX. What I do in the ethernet router menu is direct TCP port 6699 and UDP port 6257 to one computer, and TCP port 6698 and UDP port 6256 to the other, and also change the settings in the latter computer's WinMX settings to match it.

How exactly? I have a Linksys router, but I'm unable to find the address to change the coding.

Check your manual for all information including the address and default password, but I'm guessing you can use your browser to enter your router menu at an address like this:
http://192.168.1.1
Then you have to map in the TCP and UDP ports to the selective computers that are on your router.
Does this page help?
