    Anonynimity

Could someone please tell me what file sharing programs are anonymous. I take a lot and share it all. I currently have over 20 GB that I share, but I got a letter from my service provider today. I would hate to stop sharing and am only considering that as a doomsday, last resort option. I don't share anything on Kazaa, because I know that is not anonymous. Thanks in advance. Cory

Only ONE file sharing program even claims to be anonymous, and ZeroPaid does not let me talk about it, even to answer people's questions.

You'll just have to find out about it on your own.
Avoid the rush, to getting sued. Get real secure file sharing with Earthstation 5. ES5 uses proxy servers and SSL encryption to completely hide your ip address and file sharing activity.

and those that say they are anonymous are unsubstantiated claims or outright lies

password only IRC, private DC++, and private ftp are the only truly safe options that are proven, but gaining entry is difficult to say the least

Look at me! They are oppressing me!

Get over yourself. The guy clearly aasked for opinions about which p2p claim to be anonymous. Hock your wares.

BTW corylawson, I assume he is referring to filetopia, frost and blubster. You can find downloads for each of them here.

If you're on the net you're never 100% anonymous. I don't care what anybody says you're not. There are ways to improve your chances of not getting caught but NOBODY can guarantee you to be 100% anonymous. Notbob pointed out a good avenue in private DC and IRC hubs, Cheapprick pointed out some other ones, and File Hoover whined about not being able to hock his but we all know what his sig says. My suggestion is to read up on all the alternative clients and choose what is best for your situation. You know what you need and, thus, you should decide instead of letting people think for you.

And BTW Hoover there is a difference between answering a question about anonymous P2Ps and turning threads that have nothing to do with your P2P into infomercials.

Yep Yep, not much for anony. Try Freenet if you are so worried. Meh, I hate the proggie, but some like it. Don't worry so much about getting sued, it prolly won't happen
