    do you use invisible mode?

i was just wondering how many people use invisible mode so that nobody can tell when they are online. heh.

**oopsies, thats backward. the "mwahaha" part should be with the yes, not the no. can a mod fix that for me? sorry :-P

no. I honestly never knew it existed.

I won't use Invisible Mode in the future though, because as long as there is a feature telling who's online, I think it's deceiving (some may say stealthy :devil) to use Invisible Mode. Might as well discard the who's online feature, since it is highly inaccurate.

OK, maybe my reasoning isn't completely solid, as people do have the option to opt out of things like a telephone book for privacy, after all. I just don't think anyone should have reason to hide their online status.

Yeah I'm with TC....I don't see the need for it. Maybe I'm too thick-skulled, but I don't see the purpose in doing this, besides the obvious. Anyone care to explain? I like to know when people are online as it gives me a better idea of how fast they'll reply to a PM. I don't browse "invisibly" because I like to do give the same service to other people. I don't mind if they see if I am browsing the forums.

If it were a privacy matter....well, let's just say, I wouldn't be posting here at ZP in the first place.

Yes, I remain invisible. Always do on forums. But it's not so that "nobody can tell where I am online", because there are quite a few that can still see that even with the invisible status. *wink*
