Angry Another serious security flaw in Windows!

After Microsoft reported a serious security flaw this past week, another one is reported!

I'm getting sick and tired of all these flaws in Windows!

    Is Linux any good?

    EVERY OS will have bugs!

The chances of you actually getting attacked with this is very slim. Get the patch, and then don't worry about it.

Anyone have a direct link to the patch on MS's website?

Most hackers have better things to do, why waste time hacking some newbie windows user?

not to be negative, but, im getting sick and tired of you telling us that ms keeps having flaws. it might only be 2 for you, but yes, ms has bugs, and no, we don't need forum posts to alert us of them.

    Windows

I just went to the windows update site and downloaded the two critical updates on my computer. I must admit I do get tired with all the updates in the last few weeks. I have XP home edition on my computer. I upgraded from ME which I haad so many problems with so as far as I am concerned the updates are worth it. :fire :wings

    then don't

it isn't like any of those "vulnerabilities" make a friggin' difference anyways

like many have said, some black hat has much better things to do than mess with your crappy Gateway AOL p.o.s.

i don't have a problem with it, it lets me know when to actually do an (important) MS update. ;-)

    You're right.

Since this affects all Windows version including Windows 95, this flaw went undetected for eight years!

I have windows XP, it downloads the necessary files without me having to click anything. It says new updates are ready to install, tells you the file and description. reason things have to be patched cause people find or create ways to go around or to break through. They have no use for your personal computer, unless they want credit card, or identity theft from you.

Would you rather have me not warned users of this Windows flaw and not have them get the patch?

    sure, why not?

the net result is the same, as the patch is near worthless anyway (as they all are)

How do you figure they are useless?
Do you think there weren't actually security holes? Or do you think they never fix the problems?
I know the recent fix by Microsoft didn't work as expected, but was a more or less isolated incident.
    So watcha mean? Please elaborate.
