ok a block list but who has supplied/compiled it and who has verified it?
Maybe its just a list made up by one of the thousands of people with nothing better to do than screw up your day.
If you look at PeerGuardian's comment forum you can see how difficult it is to get these things right even when you have goodwill and expertise, particularly with so many people on dynamic addresses. Many thousands of innocent p2p users end up getting blocked from p2p.

No it dosn't, that just tells you that the ip address
does not have a reverse dns name. Guess what, although
ISP's _usually_ set up reverse-dns to give meaningful
names such as puter1234.isp.net, it's possible to
send anything as the reverse dns name or not reply to
the query. If you have a class C block or
larger you can get it delagated to your own DNS server.
This can be used to have an amusing hostname on IRC.

and if you are trying to work out somthing from reverse-dns
names you should be checking all 256 addresses in that block,
the x.x.x.0 ip is more likly to be a gateway than a machine
activly doing somthing.
