This is a well written article by one of the Motley Fools underscoring the failing business tactics by the music industry that lead to P2P sharing. The long and the short of it is that the music industry failed to keep up with the times by using the physical selling of CD’s as a major source of revenue instead of developing the marketing potential of their artist. The article also highlights the fact that file sharing acts as a promotional tool for artist since it creates more potential for concert goers and the buying of merchandise. Though this has all been said before it was a good article well balanced and worth a read.
