I just got a new pc last month, It came with a Ati radeon 9800 Pro in it, and it said it has tv out, ok so i tried to hook up a svideo cord to it and and it wouldnt plug into it, so im wondering what kind of cable i need to hook up to the tv? I read the manual that came with it but no info on that. Any help would be appreciated.
This is a 7 pin S-Video Output connector, which is used to connect devices such as Televisions and VCRs to the card for outputting the same image as being displayed on the monitor.
This connector accepts a 4 pin or 7 pin S-Video cable.
Devices using Composite connectors can be connected to this output using an:

Some connectors are proprietary !
With ATI, it may "look" S-Video, but is really not. They sell the multimedia cable for it on their website, and I think that Googlegear.com had some.
My ATI 7500 has a big ol fat S video monster cable hooked into it, running to my bigscreen! Wahoo! But even with this exspensive(overpriced) cable from circuit city, Im still getting RF interference some how. Maybe its because I live nevt to a radio station1 lol
