    n00b question :P

hello guys, i was wondering if the RIAA bots have to actually download a song from you in order to have anything against you.. is this true? because i check my traffic logs frequently for any signs of riaa connections and i wanted to make sure i wasnt checking them for nothing.

and one other thing please :) ... would opennap be any safer than any other p2p programs?

i suggest using the safer of the programs. namely:

    piolet 1.05(music)
    clean blubster 2.50(music)
    soulseek 149(music, vids, programs, etc)
    direct connect(music, vids, programs, etc)

supposodly, blubster 2.50 has a new thing in it that makes you anonomous!(I LIKE A LOT)

or you can try programs on gnutell:(which is catching up from behind)

bearshare(adware one, just remove it though, movie, music, prog)

limewire(mostly music, but movies, programs, music)

    whoa whoa whoa...

    gnutella is nowhere near safe...

use one of the other programs, namely piolet.

    and don't use es5.

The Overnet only client(not hybrid) is pretty safe. Everything is in multicasted chunks, so the wire is on fire, thats hard to dig through for the RIAA/MPAA. :fire

i suggest you use clean blubster @ dr damns website :::dr damns site::: or piolet from www.piolet.com! don't eva go to kazaa, because the riaa is all over that program, becuase it has over 3,000,000 people on it! use direct connect if possible!

I would suggest that use either Ares Galaxy , Piolet or Blubster for music (The clean version Dr Damn provides of course- links available on this site)

For other things like movies I have been using the clean Imesh version (also prepared by Dr Damn and available at this site) and love this program. Easy to use . Downloads are the fastest of any application I have tried and they have tons of files you can access .
