    RIAA p2p usernames

I have noticed that when the RIAA creates an account to share fake files they almost always put a number at the end of their user name. Now on kazaalite most people don't put a number at the end of their name because more than one person can have the same user id so it is unecessarry (spelling ?). So if you see a file and all of the people that have it have a number at the end of their username the file is probably a fake.

i hope that you wil find this information useful

p.s. i have only really noticed this with unreleased mp3's. If this RIAA practice is not as common as i suspect then i appologize for creating this thread and wasting your time.

    I hadn't noticed it.

Some people could use 247 at the end of their name though as three of my friends do for their email accounts.

The splling is unnecessary I believe.

I wander if other people had noticed this too?

yeah i know that a lot of ppl do use numbers at the end but if everyone in the entire list of people with the file has a number you should probably be suspicious

Want my opinion? User name doesn't matter. Who cares if everybody thats hosting the file has a number. If everybody had the letter E somewhere in their username, would you not download that also?

Yeah, I don't see how a number at the end really matters, they can be anyone, anywhere, but thanx for the attempt at warning everyone

i scanned them and i got this service provider: Performance Systems International inc or PSI. They offer High speed connections like T1 and T3. Apparently MCA is using their service to flood Kazaa with fake mp3s.

they must be using a program to create usernames that combines word from a word bank and sticks a number on the end.

I think this is bogus. I have always had numbers after my s/n. The only time I can remember when I didn't was when I was on Napster. This is a bogus statistic I believe.

Actually I have been running across alot of bogus mp3s on kazaa lately. The song would play and then about 10 seconds in it starts to make a loud, screeching noise. I don't know if it's just misfortune or the fact that the RIAA could be planting bogus mp3s on the fasttrack network.

Well, seeing as how I use Ken17625, I work for the RIAA......................................ok you see my point.

At the very least, next time, remember to tell everyone that this is your own personal theory and make it sound less like a fact.
