We've seen some bizarre PC case modifications in our time, but this one takes the cake. One Russ Caslis has build a PC into the Millennium Falcon.
Yes, Han Solo's famous smuggling vessel - 'You've never heard of the Millennium Falcon?' 'Should I have?' 'It's the ship the made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs...' - now comes equipped with 7GB of hard disk storage, USB ports, PS/2 ports, network adaptor, 800MHz Via C3 processor, 256MB of 133MHz SDRAM memory and the works. Alas there's no CD or floppy, but who needs diskettes when you're outrunning Imperial cruisers?
The version of the Star Wars space ship in question is one put out by toy manufacturer Kenner (Palitoy in the UK) in the late 1970s to go with its 3in figure range. Russ says he found a cheap ($50) but discoloured unit in eBay.
Internally, Russ used Via's EPIA mini-ITX platform. As you can see from the pictures of his progress with the mod, here, Russ was able to cram in mobo and dual hard drives - opened up to allow the workings to be viewed through a window in the ship's hull - wire up I/O ports and run the disk and system activity indicators up to the ship's front-mounted headlights.
Oh, and he added working blue engine lights to the back of the ship, activated from a switch panel mounted inside the ship's cockpit - along with PC power and reset controls. Russ even mounted six small fans into the vessel's primary dorsal exhaust ports

Thats some nice shit!
Too bad about the floppy and especially the cd-drive though...
I built that exact model a few years ago...cool to see what I could have done with it
