    burning software

hey, whats some good software for burning cd's?

for some reason - perhaps you could shed light - roxio easy cd recorder crashes when i try to burn mp3s with a variable bitrate. i have wasted countless blank cd's and feel that roxio should be out of business and held accountable for their criminally wasteful software.

so, know of anything good that is free (a kazaa lite download free, or just plain free to begin with) and reliable?

    cheers-

You're using Easy CD Creator 6? Other than that, you can try Nero, it's a nice little program. I won't tell you where to get it but I'll tell you that www.nero.com can probably help you out.

I find Nero to be the best, and it burns VBR MP3s just fine.

With that being said, the search button DOES work.

yea, i just got nero and tried to burn a cd with no success.

went to: nero express/nero burning rom > music audio cd > add and dropped in a folder > burned and i got a cd that wouldnt play in my cd player. note, the mp3's i am trying to burn are variable.

i have roxio 5 right now.

can you burn variable bitrates on whatever you are using? if so, what program are you using? what selections do you go to to burn the cd? i dont care what i use, as long as i can burn these mp3s.

    thanks man

Ah, yes...That message can get annoying. It doesn't like the term "CD", or any such abriviations. "burning software" will work, however.

Anyhow, I use Nero 5.5, and I have burned a number of VBR MP3s without a problem. As far as the settings I use, I just used the default settings.

Are you finalizing these CDs you're trying to burn? They will not play in your CD player if you don't.
