Using LinkSys Router

Hello again everyone,

Just got a linksys router and it works great. Problem is that people can't download from me. Now I've read the other faqs about this and it seems that I need to obtain the port from the router, however, I don't know how to do so. If anyone has any ideas how I can get this going again they would be greatly appreciated.

Another thing to know is . . WHAT port(s)?

That depends on the P2P app that youre using.

Are you using a software firewall?

i think what you are trying to do is open a port on your firewall.

Goto http://192.168.1.1/

you will be asked for your username/password that you setup during install

goto advanced

goto forwarding

now select which port to open and which ip to open on.
