Lightbulb Time To Take A Stand

I'm new here, and I don't know if this has already been discussed, but if not, I'll say it...

The time has come to stand up against the record industry. Their recent actions are down right evil. I say if they are going after individual users, we stand up as individuals. We can make a difference. I found out about this site by reading USAToday. The number of people reached here is phenomenal, and it is just the place to stop the atrocities that are about to occur. The time has come for a nationwide boycott of the record industry. I’m sure most of the people reading this have long since boycotted the major labels, but we can do more. We need to organize a boycott, and hold to it until the industry backs down. Once the word gets out, this agenda will spread like wildfire. The industry complains about a 20% drop off in sales, well how would they feel about 50% or heaven forbid, maybe 100%. Alone we are sitting ducks, waiting to be sued. Together, we can change the music industry. The time has come to stand up. Are you with me?

I don't know about 100% (i wish), but any output will help.
Remenber it's probably just as much people out there who don't care about d/ling music and etc., whos all for, and will continue to buy CD's, Movies, and etc.

    Point Taken

I think if the average person understands what is going on, they will be out raged too. The fact is everyone one knows someone who uses P2P, be it a friend, grandkid, or neighbor. These fines are enough to turn those people against the lables, even if they have never P2P'd themselves. We need to educate and push this. Its an individual thing for the most part, mention it to everyone you know, post on all of the message boards you go to. Once this ball starts rolling no one can stop us. And there is nothing illeagal about a good old fashoned boycott. We just need to get it moving. If everyone at this fourm pushes this, I promise, it will happen, and it will be huge, and we will beat the lables.

We're not with you, we're ahead of you.

I also asked that there not be new RIAA threads, use the ones that are already open.
