    Burning MP3s to A Disc.

I have been backing up my MP3s by burning them onto CD. I'm using Nero Burning ROM 5 btw.

Anywho, why do the ID3v1/v2 tags always get messed about whenever this happens? I worked hard to sort out all these tags and removed the ID3v1 tags completely, but when I burned the MP3s onto CD (as an MP3 disc btw), the ID3v1 tag was re-enabled and in the "Title" box, for example, was "Incubus - Morning View - 01 -" which is the beginning bit of the actual file name. That said, the ID3v2 tags were untouched.

But why does this happen? Is there any way that it can pe prevented?

i'm not sure why it's doing that, but you might try setting the read only attribute to your mp3's before burning

    maybe that will help.
