    connecton prob

    Hi,

    first about my system:

    Athlon 1800+
    256DDR
    WinXP / no SPs
    ADSL connection
Zone Alarm, but i have the same prob without it (i opened the udp port ranges)

    Now the problem:
IT WONT CONNECT. I tried piolet as it was v. 1.0 and it connected without any probs.
Now it stays connecting ... then warming up.
In the hot list it shows then 2-3 connections and then it drops them.
    WTF?..

    The same on Blubster 2.5

My request sounds like SOS, i suppose ;)

    Thanks in advance

have you tried just turning zonealarm off? i mean, completely exiting the prog and then starting piolet/blubster...

    hmm, ok...

do you have windows' firewall turned on? this is seperate, and is part of the netwrok connection properties... go to "advanced" in the connectoin's properties and turn off the internet connection firewall. you will probably hafta disconnect and reconnect.

since blubster and piolet rely so heavily on udp, the windows firewall cuts it all out.

Blubster and Piolet are notorious for connection problems, and nobody is really sure why that is. The forums there are filled with posts about "WTF is going on" and such.
