    bt exp/torrent spy

    why does torrent spy report:
    complete: 76
    incomplete: 391

but bt experimental only connects to:
    20 peers
    4 seeds
    4.999 distributed copies.

shouldnt i see 76+ distributed copies?
    or am i misunderstanding bt.

cuz ur client will connect to some and then more over time.. i think its good that the clients connect to each other slowly instead of everyone hammering each other.. would u want ur computer to connect to 500 people even when u can only send 10kb?

lol no, but i would like to recieve from 500 people :P

    thanks for clearing that up.

how fast does it connect to more clients?

    what is a seed?
what is the difference between a seed and someone with 100% of the file?

also, what does "initiate manual announce" do?

    The official protocol specifications states:

"The tracker is receiving information from all downloaders and giving them random lists of peers. This is done over http or https."

So no, you're not going to connect to all the peers over time on a file with that many users.
