    problem with my dvd player

    My dvd player in my PC can very well play audio cds but it cant read dvd players...i am wondering what can be a problem..if anyone know it would be my pleasure to get that help...i am wondering if its the lens but if it is..i think it would not read audio Cds too...I am using PowerDVD software on XP operating system...thanks for the help it would be much appreciated.

    first of all...
    you sure you have a DVD drive?!?
    having the software is completely different from also having hardware.

    2) if you do have a DVD drive what region DVD's are you tryin, might be a region issue

    3) DVD drives are not the same as a PS2 lens where it flips the receptor to match disc content, there are different lenses in the mechanism
