Hello all, it's not often I have a problem...but it's just one of those days...
My laser printer (Lexmark 4039 10R) stopped working a few weeks ago, and always gives me this error:
I found this article931 Service Error
Printhead Error
however, I can't do numbers 1 and 2 because i can't access the menus because of the error.
So I'm at number 3...what does a printhead look like? Where should I look?

there are no ink cartridges in laser printers...

since you don't wanna buy a new one, maybe you can pull it out and clean everything off real good. dust is a big problem, especially with my printer (bubblejet) bc it will start to spray ink places it shouldn't be. maybe dust is interfering with the laser-ness of the printer...

that's the first thing i did...but i can't find the contacts it mentions in the article that i am supposed to clean.

oh. well, i must admit defeat, as i do not own, nor ever seen the innards of a laser printer.
good luck
