Is this kind of advertising legal? I went to this page and burst out into a fit of laughter. They use simple scripts to get some info on you and like, say you've been searching for porn... but I don't even search for porn on the web, so I know I haven't been looking for "evidence cum tit tit body black evidence police cum cum cum cum cum cum cum cum cum cum cum body". These people are shameless. Evidence Eliminator's site gets worse each time I visit it.

"Even the Police are scared - Police Officers buy the genuine Evidence Eliminator™ because it's the only one that works. And they KNOW what happens if you get caught without it. "
They should have photos of these scared Police Officers to prove it :)
Some also worked hard to come up with these ideas, but i'm afraid that they forgot to add that other products are MUCH cheaper and power:
"Don't get ripped-off by an inferior imitation or product. Beware these:
Window Washer
Internet Cleanup
Quick Clean
SurfSecret
Vogon International (Police Forensic Investigators) say those don't delete all the traces you want from your hard-drive.
Poor-quality imitations that don't work:
Internet Eraser
History Kill
Windows & Internet Cleaner
Internet History Eraser
Cyber Scrub
Evidence Eraser
Internet Washer
Secure Disk Pro
Web Evidence Eraser
Evidence Terminator
Internet Cleaner
Internet Privacy Pro
Fast Cleaner Gold
Web Eraser
X-Cleaner
No Trace
Windows Trace Remover
Winnow Cleaner
Evidence Killer
History Cleaner
ZDelete
Privacy Cleaner
Evidence Washer
SuperCleaner
WinOptimizer"
"What are all those pictures?!?!"
Well... the directory you're showing me seems to have NO PICTURES IN IT!
Dumbarses...
Those things I use occasionally to download little delights I call MP3's:
Kazaa Lite
WinMX
Soulseek
Peerguardian
And anything else which works behind my proxy ^_^
And they also need to check for X_HTTP_FORWARDED... 'coz my ISP doesn't list my IP in REMOTE_ADDR, so that page listed my ISPs web-proxy and not my real IP. How lame!?!

did you ever see the one that shows you your own directories (which only you can really see) and says "look! we have access to your hard drive! who else is looking?"
hell they should call it evidence producer--it only adds about 1000 registry entries
What a bunch of crap...
But I thought my firewall was supposed to keep this kind of info safe from websites... (Norton personal firewall)

there is actually a website called evidence-eliminator-sucks.com the following extract is taken from the page. Its good stuff.
Note also the first line of the third paragraph which i have not doctored in any way. It clearly implicates our own wingnut in this murky conspiracy. Perhaps wingnut will show us a little clarity for a change and explain his role in this shabby affair."This is a tale of paranoid delusional rantings on the part of Andy Churchill, the main figure at Robin Hood Software. It is a slimy tale of violating U.S. Truth in Advertising laws on a regular basis, charging $150 for what is at best a $39.95 file eraser, and making grandious claims for what their piece of Visual BASIC bloatware will do for you.
It's a case of some really strange people trying to sell you software that you probably don't need via their famous "You are being Investigated" spam, whose idea of professionalism in dealing with criticism of their business practices is stupid complaints and censorship.
This is also the story of a huge network of sex sites and paranoid right wingnut sites all merrily pushing along behind the strange tin foil hat rantings of Andy Churchill and his minions because, what the hey, scamming people out of money for software they don't need pays the bills, right? So here we go, hold on to your tin foil beanie, as we descend into the morass of..."

http://evidence-eliminator-sucks.com/eesucks/ is a very good read. these people at Evidence Eliminator really stink. What is worse is that various supposedly well informed tech journalists frequently recommend this garbage in the press and online.
If you really are dumb enough and sick enough to look at kiddie porn, bomb making guides, metallica fan sites etc. and you need to get rid of the evidence there is only one way to do it. 1:remove hard drive from PC. 2: pick up clubhammer 3: hit hard drive with the clubhammer until the hard drive is smashed into many thousands of tiny pieces. 4: now dispose of those pieces in different places
This is how government security agencies do it (so what have they been looking at online...?)
Also as well as EE being overpriced it is apparently buggy as hell and sh1tty to uninstall....classy prog all round.
