(But then again, I am effeminate as they come lol) I have seen Robert Goulet in the Man of La Mancha and seen several other musicals including an off-broadway performance of the King and I. I am not as loving of musicals as my homosexual younger brother who used to play the "Sound of Music" CD everyday when he took a shower, but I do love a musical as well. They are so good at expressing emotion (especially sad ones).
I do love musicals. My wife hates them... she becomes sick of them. But I think that a musical is one of the truest expressions of emotion in a short period of time.
Then again, Finding Nemo made me cry too so never mind...
"There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17... I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice… The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd."
I saw La Boheme. I want to see Baz Luhrmann's version though. That's more of an opera isn't it?
Wingnut: I told ya to see Finding Nemo for good reason. :D
Now stop being so freaking nice, and buy a stun gun. - Krell
No, I don't like musicals one bit.
Always be nice to those around you. After all, some day you might need CPR.......
Sound of music is the best film musical by far.
I recently saw this really weird musical by Takashi Miike who previously directed 'Audition' & 'Ichi The Killer'
The film was called 'The Happiness of the Katakuris'
It's kind of a horror musical comedy. The songs are actually very good even though it's japanese.
