I download a ton of albw's. Half of the ones I DL tend to be full cds and not albws - label the mp3's properly please! - but the odd one that does unwrap does so oddly.
More than a few times I've unwrapped an albw only to have 10 to 11 copies of the same song.
Has anyone else had this problem? Can it be fixed?
huh?but the odd one that does unwrap does so oddly
i have had some probs. sometimes its not wrapped right and once in awhile it won't unwrap right. I just delete it and find another copy or i burn as one file.
To repeat what others have said, requires education; to challenge it, requires brains.

I get that problem often. When i cant find another different copy of an ALBW i just listen to it the whole way through.Originally posted by SutterKayn

Sounds like someone's playing a trick on you there.....probably another trick to annoy p2p users into stop using the programs.Originally posted by SutterKayn

Don't edit the MP3 Tags on AlbumWraps. The comment section of the MP3 Tag has code that tells the unwrapping (extracting) program how to split the file. If you download an AlbumWrap and want to see if it will unwrap, take a peek at the comment. If it says something like "umWrap TomGab" and some ascii symbols, it will likely work.
Sometimes this does the job with corrupted albw's. http://alba.sourceforge.net/
THHank you for clearing up this 2 and half year question that has been bothering me for some time now.
