I'll pay
no way
I did the unthinkable, I paid the $9.50 4 limewire pro. I've be using it 4 five hours and not one problem. No spyware and it's easy on the resources. I still have Xolox 4 back up. But pro version is really good. I can't belive I waited so long to use it.:devil
Well that is the idea. Its not supposed to have spyware or ads. But Limewire itself isn't the best. Its ok but not what I like to use. Besides, i'll never pay for P2P.
Well, now Bearshare is charging for their client, Limewire has for a long time. I don't see a problem with them charging though, since someone needs to pay for good developers ... but I can't see a lot of people paying for these programs (although, I see a lot of Limewire Pro's on my connection list).
Maybe one day when everyone charges (KaZaa is coming out with a pricing plan for their 'Premium Service' soon), everyone will just get use to paying for p2p.
i doubt most people will be wanting to pay for p2p, its was designed to be free and thats how it should be. Rather than pay for limewire, just use aqualime. And some people complain about the skin, so take the skin folder out of the dir, there nice perdy limewire skin.
I encourage everyone to try FreeWire, it's free of course, and its great.

You may want to pay for it, but I never would. There are better gnutella clients out there that are free, so why not use those?
an eagle in your mind
I will never pay for p2p.
The day that becomes standard is the same day that the network will be the only entity accountable for downloads.
They have no right to charge until they can promise this. You might think that this is already the case, but look at the RIAA's new idea of going after users. Or the virus or fake file issues. If a product is worth paying for it should be almost bug free.
You know, not counting Windows programs.
try Aqua LimeWire, its LimeWire but with a better look and no ads --- here is the download link --- http://www.zeropaid.com/downloads/Ze...quaLime231.zip

Why pay for it, when you can download it anyway?

Paying for p2p is not in my future plans :)
Latest version of AquaLime lets you choose the regular LimeWire skin in the options menu, for those that don't like skins.
That latest version is 255, out today. I rather like it ;)
I'd only pay for p2p under ONE circumstance: It is totally bug/virus/gov/riaa free.

Well its 18.88 now but what the hell. For the price of a single CD that ain't bad. I don't really use limewire (and havn't purchased the pro version) but it has gotten to be a decent program. If someone wants to give them money to help then I think that's a good thing. Shows that not all of us are cheap selfish bastards.
