    Hmm

I don't really have an answer (other than taking off the router which is what I did) but I had the same problem myself. Hopefully someone will reply with some advice for us.

    Netgear

    Matt,

As far as I'm aware there is an incompatibility issue with emule versus Netgear NIC cards. I can only use Emule v25b as this is the only one that doesnt crash/ freeze my screen. Apparently
anything above this version wll cause your P.C to freeze. I have tried every version above 25b as sure as it freezes I have also tried some of the Mods in the hope that this would remedy the problem but to no avail! I wish the developers would resolve this issue as I would like to benefit from new/additional features everytime a new version is released. I have visited various forums and cant seem to find a work around other that changing
my Netgear NIC, which I dont think I can do as I'm contracted to my ISP who supplied the NIC! it must obviously be a Netgear hardware incompatibility issue. Have you tried updating your drivers? Although I dont think this helps either!

If anyone knows otherwise please advise?

    Hope this helps guys?

I also have XP Pro, AMD Athlon 1.3ghz and 512DDR

    Right

Same here, I don't have any problems with the NIC cards, when I run emule without the router it works fine, when I run it with it, it will work at first, and then the internet connection will stop after a while and the router will have to be reset by turning it off, then on again.
