    Software for Linux

I've recently installed Mandrake Linux v9.1 alongside Windows ME. Its OK but the only useful software on it is "gimp" and "open office" can anybody recommend any other useful software which I should look out for.

mandrake comes packaged with just about every conceivable type of software, maybe you need to check out exactly what you have on your mandrake discs

apart from that i think you need to be more specific. what type of software are you looking for?

also you could do with looking at sephiroths sticky on lounge posters. (fourth from top thread in the lounge)

Try the following site. At the bottom, you'll find a list of linux alternatives to windows software.
