BitTorrent EXPERIMENTAL
BT++
Shareaza
MLDonkey
What client do you think performs best on BitTorrent?
well in my real opion i like experimental version best.. but i voted for shareaza cuz i wanted people to use it so i can have access to their files lol.. shareaza is a bittorrent without the need for a tracker..
shareazaa rules because you can get both sources from bit torrent, and the other networks with a torrent.
Is the new Shareaza beta version any better with Bittorrent?
People on my "cool list" in no particular order.

I vote for BT++.. it just rips everything else apart
Maxing out my bandwidth both ways on that thing
Most definetly Shareaza for Bittorent. The single most useful file sharing program has got to be Shareaza. It has everything. The programmer of Shareaza is truly talented. Keep it up.
Only God Can Judge Me.All you other Fu*kers get out of my business.
hmm, i tried to get reloaded, and i used the torrent from suprnova......but i only got 5-7 kb/s max, ummm, help?
An article on mp3newswire.net says:
"The third and newest of the methods is the Bit Torrent support that has been added to the newest of the Shareaza betas. Bram Cohen the creator of BitTorrent told Slyck that in his view Shareaza's implementation was not perfect. Based on comments he had read he said that “the shareaza author doesn't understand BitTorrent's tit-for-tat algorithms at all” and therefore “the client is unlikely to be able to offer as good performance as the official one.” He also slammed Shareaza for not speaking to him saying no one ever told him anything about Shareaza's support. "
So Shareaza doesn't seem to be perfect, but it works fine with me...
i like the burst! client.
(btw i started a thread like this about a week ago):mellow
does anyone know if there are plans to develop a version of bittorrent to disable sharing with shareaza users?
Hopefully this will be along soon.

Perhaps he was looking at the first beta, which did have problems. But the latest beta did fix those (it didn't have "Endgame" mode). I don't know why he would say it doesn't support's "algorithms" or whatever, no offense, but how would he know? Does he have the Shareaza source? :)Originally posted by McWalt

It is, afterall, only in beta stages. If issues are found, they can be resolved through the forum.
And by not communicating, I don't understand what he means by that. Does it mean he owns BitTorrent and that to get on BitTOrrent you have to go by him first? If that's how he wanted it then why did he release the source for BitTorrent and write specs for it? Mike did "create" G2 yet the specs are openly avaliable and I doubt "mldonkey" went and "communicated" with Mike prior to that, you shouldn't have to.
Bram just seems to be upset that Shareaza is "stepping on their toes" just as some eMule developers were (until Mike talked with them and now they're fine).
