Cannot connect??? Firewall???

my kazza will not connect at work? it just says connecting at the bottom. i think it is a problem with a firewall or a proxy that i have at work but i am not sure. i tried clicking the kazaa firewall box in options that open port 80 for me at the bottom of the screen but i dont think that worked. can somoene email me and help me set up kazaa so i am able to download mp3's at work?

You most likely will not be able to use Kazaa at work. You're LAN is probably firewalled and it's like that for a reason. If you ask the adminstrator for permission to access a certain port, he may open it up for you to download. But don't bet on it. Corporations don't want to be held liable for something like that.

Most likely, it's against your work rules, and if you try to re-route kazaa or open up ports without the adminstrators knowledge, you can lose your job fast. So play it safe, and just download at home.

There are progs like HTTp tunnel and socks 32 that will allow you external access, but as the previous caller said, you could lose your job. Those firewalls aren't there by accident you know...
