Hey there?
Does anybody know about a fake detector for emule/ edonkey?
I want to know, whether the files I am downloading are that, what they pretend to be.
Thank you in advance.
Greetings, McWalt.
Go to ShareReactor or ShareLive where you can download verified files via eDonkey/eMule. You click on a certain type of link, the application recognises it and downloads the correct file.
If you right click on the file you are downloading (when using Emule) and select show file comments it shows you what people say about the file. Also you can make a copy of your (for example) part.001 to another directory and then rename it to the extension you are downloading like .iso or .rar. You can look at the file structure inside the file and then you can tell wether it's a fake or not. You can use a program like Alchohol 120% to do this.
Currently using eMule 0.42c
Thanx for all the cool replies - I could use those links and files! :-)
