People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in,
their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

Always be nice to those around you. After all, some day you might need CPR.......
When we are young, our mirrors reflect our outer appearance. Later,
mirrors seem to reflect also the inward self.
heh exactly
a reflection of ones own motives in essence. hehe
the idea or thought to seek out and enjoy new things is what I would have to say that can make a big difference.
a mirage of the inner self creates a delusion.
-----------------------------------------------
If someone ever ponders the thought for a moment and realized that if they actually look in ther mirror they are actually seeing a semblence of there true self. Then you repeat it time and time again.
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
---------------------
now I would think that if someone looks in the mirror and says to them self hmm damn u look good. hey you look good. when i look in the mirror i am like woe* sure i am looking good then i figure its time to really reflect on my age lol.
so after looking at the mirror for quite a long time you whole thinking pattern changes.
haha
a reflection of a mirror=
your true self inside and outside
------
yeah and i love every bit of the way i am. well thats what i do or gather from when looking in the mirrors.
these views expressed are expressed for the intention to express a feeling of woe*. nah for a feeling of free expression it may not make sense but hell who cares.
it will make u think at least *even though it wont make sense*
now peace
I love those last few replys. That's the spirit !
Daily Thought for today (5/12/03)
Subject: Cracked Pot
A water bearer in China had two large pots, each
hung on the ends of a pole, which he carried across his neck. One of
the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and
always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of the long walk from the stream to the
house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two
years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a
half pots full of water to his house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud
of its accomplishments, perfect for which it was made. But the poor
cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that
it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to
do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitter
failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed
of myself, and because this crack in my side causes water to
leak out all the way back to your house."
The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that
there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on
the other pot's side?
That's because I have always known about your flaw,
and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every
day while we walk back, you've watered them.
For two years I have been able to pick these
beautiful flowers
to decorate the table. Without you being just the
way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house".
Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're
all cracked pots. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have
that make our lives together so very interesting and
rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look
for the good in them.
Blessings to all my crackpot friends.
May you always run with the wind at your back and good friends by your side.

lovely story....

The subatomic world is a continual dance of creation and annihilation, of mass changing into energy and energy changing into mass. Transient forms sparkle in and out of existence, creating an never-ending, forever newly created reality.
CH, that last one was superb.

Thanks, CH--I can use all the blessings I can get! And this thread is a great idea, I think we can all use a little inspiration--I know I can!
And I haven't forgotten you're almost 7!

Todays Daily thought (5/13/03)
We each are traveling our own, very special path in this life. At times
our paths run parallel to each other. On occasion they may intersect.
But we do all have a common destination: knowledge of life's meaning.
And we'll arrive at knowledge when we've arrived at the mountain's
summit separately and yet together.
We do not go straight up the side of the mountain on this trip. We circle
it, slowly, carefully, sometimes losing our footing, sometimes
backtracking because we've reached an impasse. Many times we have
stumbled, but as we grow in understanding, as we rely more and more
on our inner strength, available for the taking, we become more sure footed.
May you always run with the wind at your back and good friends by your side.

The offer of love to the person sharing this time in our lives softens
them, ourselves, and the events we share. Giving and receiving loving
thoughts eases any momentary difficulty; loving and feeling loved
reminds us that we are never alone in our struggles. In partnership we
can survive any troubling circumstance.
Love of self, of family, of enemies, increases the harmonious
conditions that affect us all. Like the ripples from a pebble dropped in a
stream, the act of loving moves beyond the object receiving the love at
this moment. In fact, the love we give is the love we'll receive.
It is a demonstrable fact that hatred breeds hatred. Just as absolute is
the knowledge that the love we offer another makes easier their gift of
love to yet another. Love multiplies itself and the harmony created
nurtures us all.
Love makes partners of us all. No circumstances can fell me when I'm
in company with another. I will look among my associates today for
willing partners.
May you always run with the wind at your back and good friends by your side.
