    Angry Downloadin/burning CDs

Will someone help me please, I have had the pc about a fortnight, and I have downloaded Kazaa Lite, and Kazaa Diet, I have tried to download music, to burn onto a cd but it seemed to be taking about 30-40 minutes for a single track. I have no idea what I am doing but I keep trying. I have tried to playback the track showing in the playlist and nothing happens,, should the thing default to windowqs media player, HELP:

if it's taking 30-40 minutes to download a track, then it's either coming VERY slowly or you have a slow connection.

    what speed is your connection?

what size is the file you're downloading?

The speed at which you download files depends upon the amount of sources and their bandwidth, and of course your internet connection.

    Are you on dial-up?(56k modem)

    Broadband? (Cable, DSL, etc.)

Also, I suggest dumping diet kazaa and just sticking to the latest version of Kazaa Lite along with the the Sharemonkey speedup tool.

    Just my suggestion.

EDIT: 30-40 minutes is consistent with 56k modem speeds.
You can't triple stamp a double stamp.

    40 minutes on 56k for a 13mb file, yeah...

a bit big for your average song though.

still it's kazaa, and he might have a bad line.

Better Yet Try The K++ Version of Kazaa

Why? Because, K++ is better than that other Kazaa's. You can jump nodes, stop port 1214 from having access to the net, etc.

Hell, when i had dial-up it didn't take that long to get a song

It isn't that long for a 56k, that's what I always used to get.

You don't need Speedup with the latest version of K-Lite, it has a "download-accelerator" built in.
