okie dokey...& for today's computer related dilemma ...
...i moved on saturday (& i've been wanting to ask since then, but i kept forgetting!!!). since my move, everytime i turn on my computer, after about 10 minutes, i get what you see below. it doesn't really seem to be affecting any applications i'm using, but it's kinda irritating. i'm sure it must have something to do with the move, maybe because i'm connecting from somewhere new??? but, just wondering if anyone has seen this before & if they know how to get it to stop??? thanks ...

Run > Services.msc
or
Run > msconfig
Find the exact file loading at start up and untick the box or disable it's loading in services.msc

The term watchdog reminded me of this. It's a very small program that you can have running that first of all allows you control over what starts up, and control which sites are allowed to leave you cookies, but also will "bark" if a program attempts to add itself to the start-up folder. It's all stuff you can do manually, but depending on your abilities, it offers quite a bit of help without using up the resources.
