12,000 bucks is nothing
even for a college student--it's not like he has to pay up now, it's an installment plan
12000/$8= 1500 hours of work
1500/40= 37.5 weeks (75 weeks at part time)
since he lives at the university, it can be safely assumed that his room and board is paid for, and probably a dining plan to boot
let him get a job, or if someone should give him money, it should be the users of his hub
i know, i didnt mean i would pay the whole thing...
but lets all face it:
if you get caught file sharing, then it's your fault. there are so many ways we (as file sharers) can protect ourselves... there is absolutely no reason we would get caught.

Blah. Let's face it, if you're really going to share in a usefull way there is very little you can do to protect yourself. That's why I think it's a great idea to help these guys out. Of course this can only be short time temporary solution while we're waiting for anonymous and secure way to share.
um for people who dont have pay pal accounts and such maybe u should set up a public po box for peoople to send u something.
just a suggestion
personally i dont care what people say if someone can help the fellow they should.
like i said make sure there are other ways people can send the money as well.
