check out the above story , its so great because if you read it - by my humble calculations if there are roughly 60 million file sharers scattered around this tiny world plus or minus a few million then the chances that you will actually get caught are 0.0000001 percent or 1 in ten million users - great huh :)
Think of all the billions they have waisted trying to stop us from sharing instead of profiting like them !
Keep on sharing peoples :)
they didn't get any jail time that is good... :fire
I dont get your maths iceman! 60 million files sharers, none have been caught (only people running mini-napsters) = 0% chance of getting caught. You have a 1/60,000,000 of being the first filesharer to be caught!

The RIAA: Here, you can have $13 for all the years we ripped you off.
My response:
"That's ok, keep your $13 and I'll settle my claim via p2p."
Keep an eye on MS and the RIAA: http://slashdot.org
www.whatreallyhappened.com is interesting.

4 million sharers come from Fasttrack where do the other 56 million come from?? is there a website that shows the distrubution of population among file sharing programs.
Hey $uperman, try www.bigchampagne.com
thx, but yeah i know of www.bigchampagne.com already.. is there another site which is more detailed or something??? if u could help me i'd appreciate it.. thanks
Sorry superman, i really thought that they had it there... Ive seen what you are after somewhere, it had a list of all the different networks and how many people were currently on each one. Its going to bug me where i saw it!
Well done Ryan2_2, I knew i had seen it somewhere! I can sleep sound tonight!
lol@filetopia! Wonder how many files those 0 users are sharing?
hey at.morris i think it is you that should check you math - there are 6 users on the list , 6 divided by 60,000000 is 0.0000001 - i should know i am an accountant!!
Try using your fingers to count in the future thicko!!
The six people on the list all made and operated sharing programs. Thats different to be a user. As an accountant, you should know that you can't divide the number of operators caught by the number of users to get a percentage. You're going to have some tough competition for your job when I graduate!
