How can my friend view and download my file from kazaa I have tried that ip thing it dont work.
The IP thing stopped working quite a while ago... This could actually be hard, since you may end up on different supernodes... You could have him search for a unique file that you may have, that could turn up your screename, then he could click on search for more files from this user...
Personally I would use a computer based file sharing program such as wwwfileshare, bad blue, or filesharing for .net( I think that is the name)... Look them up on google.
oh no.... this thread again.....:mellow
there have been several threads like this in the past, try the forum search...
if you don't find any plausible answer, i'm not surprised. kazaa wasn't meant to help people find specific people, and it's difficult to do. you have to be lucky, and have lots of luck.
oh yeah, and some luck too.

I accidently downloaded a file from my housemate :-) It would have been quicker for me to just copy from one harddrive to the other over the LAN though!

i tried http://127.0.0.1:1214 ........thats worked . IP's out?
That address is your localhost. It's computer side and the same for every computer. No one else can see it. You would need your ip address and that trick doesn't work anymore.

For anyone who is interested, you can list files if you index them first, then share the file with the index.

I accidentally downloaded a file off of myself. When I first saw the download speed I was in awe. It was downloading at 2000 Kbs so I clicked find more from same user and all the files started to look a little familiar.I accidently downloaded a file from my housemate :-) It would have been quicker for me to just copy from one harddrive to the other over the LAN though!
Anyways I would even try something like AIM or Yahoo or IRC.

Yeah, that's how the Participation Level hacks for Kazaa v2.0.0 worked, but at like 10MB/s, which was kinda scary!Originally posted by endersgame21

Oh, and uploading instead of down!
Wow, Nasrules, how did you make that message appear instead of the one I usually see when somebody edits their message. That is cool. Well, it isn't that cool but still...Last edited by nasrules last night at yo' momma's house

Thats not how the kazaa hack works - i destroyed my participation level by uploading from myself! I was on 800+ without cheating, but because of the upload/download ratio the participation level works on, despite my upload speed being my download speed, my participation level fell down to 300 before i stopped it!
I did something like that! Uploaded a file to a Yahoo group. Saw it later and downloaded it! Yea this looks familiar!!!!:shyOriginally posted by endersgame21
