    i think:
a batch file runs a bunch of dos commands. so you make a file that says:
    Code:
    c:\program files\winmx\winmx.exe
    c:\program files\winamp\winamp.exe
save it as stuff.bat, and you run that, and get two progs opened.

i don't see any .bat's in the winxp system folder, maybe xp took this support out? ehh, i dunno. i haven't played with dos to do anything but "netstat"... so if it doesn't work, sorry :-\

you got it right isus, and xp does have batch files hanging around. use wordpad or something to create the file then change the extension to .bat and XP will automaticly swap it. then put it in the start menu and when XP loads it will auto the programs.

But I think what they are looking for is to have objectdock, the program, have one icon open two things. If you create the batch file and put the shrtcut in objectdock it will do it when you select it. but i dont think by defaut the icons in objectdock work that way. I have used it for a while and i havent seen anything that would let it work that way.
