From the distros i've tried, Gnome sucks... KDE is quite nice and stable, but i gave up on Linux, It's worse than Windows.

Well, They were Mandrake 9.1 and Redhat 8, so i dunno.
But there was a couple problems i had, and one that really annoyed me was, The screen always flickered, it gave me a headache, no matter what i did... it would not stop flickering, Then i eventually fucked it right up, and finally said fuck Linux. http://www.freewebs.com/yaddayadda/tuxjolt.gifhttp://www.freewebs.com/yaddayadda/tuxsorting.gifhttp://www.freewebs.com/yaddayadda/tuxwaddle.gif |

Looks like you tried the new distros already.
I had some monitor problems too, the installer didn't auto-detect the correct specifications. Usually you can correct the flickering by adjusting the monitor refresh frequency. |
