Gnome 2.2 - April 26th, 2003, 08:55 AM

Has anyone tried Gnome 2.2?
What do you think about it?
How would you compare it to KDE 3.1?

From the distros i've tried, Gnome sucks... KDE is quite nice and stable, but i gave up on Linux, It's worse than Windows.

Did you try some of the newer distros? Maybe you'll like them better.

Well, They were Mandrake 9.1 and Redhat 8, so i dunno.

But there was a couple problems i had, and one that really annoyed me was, The screen always flickered, it gave me a headache, no matter what i did... it would not stop flickering, Then i eventually fucked it right up, and finally said fuck Linux.

Looks like you tried the new distros already.
I had some monitor problems too, the installer didn't auto-detect the correct specifications. Usually you can correct the flickering by adjusting the monitor refresh frequency.
