Hey hey !
I highly encourage you to install 9.1 better than 9.0... If you are newbie to Linux... Well the automatic partitioning included with Mandrake will do a great job for you... I would say that 3 to 4 GB (total) for linux would make it just fine... You can share your windows partitions within linux in order to download stuff etc. if you have any problem PM me ;) As your latest triumph draws the final straw Who died and lifted you up to perfection? If your gunna make a partition with Partition Magic, Make SURE that it's an ext3 filesystem, else that partition will be totally useless for Linux...

But he could perfectly format a FAT32/NTFS partition before installing mandrake and tell diskdrake to entirely use and re-partition/ re-format this new FAT32/NTFS partition.
