what does it do?, i mean i know a friend that says he will mod me xbox 4 free, but what i want 2 know is what does it do?, does it let u play Ps2 games or something?, pleaze i would really like 2 know!

there are many diff kinds of mods. case mods/ hardware mods. modding the cases are awesome, if i ever get another xbox ill mod this one. hardware mods are on the lines media things. you can mod it to play mp3 cds and avi movies.

thanx 3 the info vereybody!, i really want to know if u can play PS2 games on a modded xbox though, y?, because i found (yes, found) GTA: Vice City!, and i really want 2 play it. any ways thanx!

i dont think theyre is anyway to play ps2 discs in an xbox. but theyres lots of other things you can do to your box.

not quite sure of that but i know of 2 xbox rippers, it rips them to .iso format. im guessing you can just use nero and burn it as the .iso and it may work. btw if youre interested in those rippers pm me Platinum and ill arrange something.

ok let me give you the full overview

There are 3 main modchips right now on the market

Matrix
Xecutor 2 Pro
Xecutor 2 Lite

The matrix was the first modchip in the world for xbox to offer a no solder option for there xbox.

The Xecutor Pro and lite are made by the same company. They are both much better then the matrix and if you want you can pay a little more to get a no solder adaptor.

Basically it doenst REALLY matter what chip you use it matters on what bios you use on the chip. A bios is a modified xbox original bios. There are 3 mainly good bioses out today. The Xecutor bios, the Evox bios, and the TATX bios. They all allow you to run unsigned code and many other features. Im not going to explain them all because it would take me forever.

Anyways, some capabilities of a modchip will alllow you to play burnt pirated or imported games, you can install emulators for many systems...some popular ones include snes,nes,sega genesis, GBA, and mame. There is also a media player which you can install which allows u to play avi, divx, mpeg, pretty much every movie type also mp3, and pictures. There is many other apps out for the xbox too.

One of the greatest things about the modchip is it allows you to install a lager hd in your xbox. I currently have a 120 gig hd in my xbox. The great thing about that is i can burn all my games and put them right on the xbox hd and play the games right off the hd! no need for the cd ever again.

The process in burning a game is quite simple but quite lengthy. Xbox dvds will NOT read in a regualr dvd-rom or dvd-rw drive. The only way known right now to burn an xbox game is to put a game in your xbox connect via ftp to your xbox from your computer (with the right software of course) and copy the files off the dvd to your computer then back to the xbox...But in the works already are tools that you can just copy the game straight to the xbox hd.

Also for all you Xbox Live players you CANT play burnt games online you WILL get banned. Trust me i have. You can only play retail copies of games online. And you have to turn off your modchip to do so.

Anyways i hope this has been helpfull to all of yuou considering getting a modchip for your xbox.

Xbox live would be nice - but since i went mod - i was banned on the first day - So I said F Live - Iam Using www.xbconnect.com

Make some friends add them too your list and play any games that have link support.

Many people in thier only play HALO _ Thats because halo is the shit. I have 4 peeps now that i play against almost everynight - of course one of us has to host __ atleast the one with the fastest upstream.

In the end its addicting - from 8.00 pm - 3.00am.

TO much HALO can ruin your bed time - but thats the best time to play HALO or any other game.
