Cannot get Active mode working behind router (cannot ping)? - February 9th, 2003, 12:18 PM

Hi, I have set up my Linksys router to forward port 412
(also tried port 9001.)
I installed dynu which gave me a dynamic IP address
and I entered the dynamic IP address into DC in the
format
XX.XXX.XXX.XXX
and selected active mode.

I have never seen any ping reports in my DC GUI so I
assume I am not inactive mode.
I don't get many files returned from searches
either (only a few results) so I assume I am not
getting multi-hub searching. Can anyone point
out what I am doing wrong?

thanks Jim

First of all, use DC++ - www.dcplusplus.com

Are you in more than one hub? I believe it only searches the hubs you are in. Try using Mosearch - http://www.moglo.net/
It searches ALL public hubs that allow it.
