corvettes run circles around the mustangs, just watch lemans races, the mustang always comes in last and the corvette always wins. the new mustangs looks nothing like the old sweet ass boss models. and the focus is junk, it had like 2 million recalls when it came out...

I think I will have to say Ford, they last the longest and are the most reliable, but Honda are a close second in my book.

I have a '93 ford t-bird super coupe that I added an intake and exhaust to, increased the fuel injector size, had the timing advanced and a budy of mine cnc port the charger so it runs at 15psi. and, it beats the pants off of every stock corvette z06 on the streets and most other non nos street legal machiens as well.
so, even with expensive parts and child engineers, Im a ford owner all the way. -Oscar Wilde ZeroPaid UD homepage |

Hey gorphon, I kenw there was a reason we got along. Right now I am rebuilding a 81 F100 as a street rod. the 4.2 engine is finally done. It cost $860 just to do the heads. Just a toy to haul a wee bit of beer home. the problem is it isnt very good in the snow.

damn...$860 for new heads, that is steep. IMHO thats the one thing chevy has in its favor... for a grand or so you can have a screaming rebuilt chevy motor because the parts are all over the place. but yeah, I took a look at an '84 f150 xlt awhile back. no rust, engine needed some work but you know how that goes.... I had plans to make it a backcountry mudbuster but ended up scrapping the project until I could actually afford it.... what Id really love to do is get my hands on an original 1952 F1 (w/ the vertical grille) and turn that into a street rod... or, since some of the later 50's models have nicer body style, just use a 55 to 59 F1 with the '52 grille. but man, I'll have to hold off on that one until I am very rich. those things, and restoration and modification, just dont come cheap....I checked at a place here in town. the average restoration of an older model vehicle? $50,000. truly sickening. but if I had it... man, I would love that ride. edit: codename47, that has GOT to be meant as a drag bike. with the (apparent) width of both tires and the length of the wheel base I cant even conceive of driving that thing through trafiic. 0 -60 in 2.5 seconds is just about drag bike times too. does it have a centrifugal clutch? -Oscar Wilde ZeroPaid UD homepage |

My friends thought I was nuts for messing with a small engine, they all said just dump in a 351, but i like a short stroke motor, they just pick up the revs so nice. The body is stock as of yet, and needs very little work. Now I just need to upgrade the stereo next, I have a 160watt kenwood, but i want to get a good mp3 player, and sub next. Can you say second childhood?
