it is funny. and when I turn my stovetop on the burner normally gets hotteer than my hand when I fall asleep on it.
and the canadians... I couldnt quote numbers without speaking entirely out of my ass, but I doubt that there are enough filesharers in Canada to justify the mpaa or riaa going after them. but then, remember, they are already trying to gt access to overseas records and such. and god knows what else. so. just because you are in canada doesnt mean you are any safer doing your thing then any of us in the usa are... -Oscar Wilde ZeroPaid UD homepage |

I live in Austrailia, but i still am a bit wary about downloadin music of KaZaA etc. I think being in Aust protects me a bit from the RIAA and all that because of all the different laws and that they have no realy juristriction in other countries, as far as i know.

Alrighty, im gonna answer a few q's
First, Krell, what is so funny, the fact that my government isnt siding with monopolizing assholes that are trying to limit your freedoms? Or is it just because im canadian? I mean, my ISP wont rat me out. My government wont make hacking other's PC's legal. The infamous one - Its hard to beleive, but canadians make music too!, and if you went overseas, you would notice music is created there too! Before asking a stupid question like that again, look beyond the US border. Gorphon - In the future (5 years) we are going to have the fastest internet connections available to the public in the world. We will be on the RIAA's hitlist soon enough. As for safety, If the RIAA tries hacking any people outside the US, they will get lawsuit after lawsuit to deal with. They will be criminals, because unlike your country of "Freedoms", our gov. isnt trying to pass a bill to invade your PC. If this offended you in any way, be reasonable and dont flame me. Its just that some of you ask stupid q's will get cocky sounding answers back. |

I live in Australia and we have ARIA which is like RIAA, except in their latest press release they say the reason for the CD sales slump is due to competing technology products like mobile phones and so on. ARIA praises the internet as a potential music distribution domain. ARIA's only piracy concern is about bootlegged cds from indonesia. The ACCC (also in australia) is the govenment body looking after consumer rights, it has beaten sony and many other copyright oliogopolies for the right for all cds to be abled to copied for the purpose of backing up any cd! Downloading music off the internet is not illegal as long as you own the CD, so if RIAA ever busted me I would just by the CD and it would be 100% legit. One last word, America encourages a freemarket as long as it suitts themselves eg RIAA who is acting rather facist in there treatment of human beings!

Come guys... Music composing is from all over the world, not just from the US...
Take a look at Avril Lavigne (Canada), Shakira (Mexico), Cafe Tacuba (Mexico), NTM (France) ... Well just to name very little few of GREAT music composers ! Anyway... about the internet... let me laught... Take a look a europe biggest net : "Geant", which speed is much greater than the so called "Internet 2"... Come on Guys... let's face it... US DOES NOT RULES THE WORLD... not even internet. Note: I'm note from canada, not from france... not even from europe. |
