Why do some hubs ban modified(such as DC++) versions of DC?

Does this version allow leeching or something?

mldonkey--banned because it doesn't allow uploads

++--still banned by a few outdated hubs --their reason is that people can be on 200+ hubs sharing 1 slot for the whole bunch

this argument is idiotic, since there are bots that can kick these multi-hub leeches before they ever get in (mine kicks anyone in more than 10)

I fell out when I saw some rules stating no more than 200 hubs!

6 hubs are all I can keep up with anyways, and still put out any decent bandwidth. It pisses me off when these guys have 37 bytes\s to offer.

I just wanted to know because the hubs I want to go to( The 3 top anime hubs.).....Don't allow DC++.

(Insert vastly disturbing curse here.)

All well, guess I'll have to keep searching.
