No speed no matter what i do:( -

Ok,im using winmx2.6 and no matter what i do i can get no speedy downloads.I hear all about people getting 20's and 30's on thier downloads but im lucky if i can get an 8-10.My net connection is 512 kbs so there has to be something im missing in my settings.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance

go to http://www.dslreports.com/tools . Run the speed test, then run tweak test. If they show any issues change according to their advise (Download their DRTCP and make reccomended changes)
If they say your RWIN is ok, but it is not at the top of the advised range, change it to the highest amount rec, Just remember in DRTCP it isnt called RWIN though its called Tcp Receive window, RWIN=Tcp Receive window. Rboot, and run the speed test again. Good Luck. |
