It's a new OS that supposedly will allow the user to run both windows and Linux apps.
I read about it at http://sharereactor.com you can download a preview if you use edonkey. Go to sharereactor and get the hash number and load it into edonkey. |

Lindows is a suped-up version of Xandros and Wine. Should be interesting, but I'm not holding my breath.

It's not an emulator, It's a standalone OS. They want it to look and feel like windows, but have the stability of unix. To accomplish that, they use Xandros, a linux distro, and some heavily modified wine to run "selected" windows applications and to open windows files.
