Well, "Fritz" hollings is OUT as FCC head and John McCain is IN! -

Most people don't know where this guy actually stands on things like piracy, but it is said that he is more likely to "compromise" with the tech companies position and consumer rights groups than senator "fritz" hollings ever did! Whereas Hollings was mostly one sided with hollywood, and backed a bill that would try to eliminate piracy by putting stringent standards on cd or dvd copiers and the like....most believe that his bill now will likely fail! That is good news to consumer rights groups and tech firms. But where this guy actually stands is anyones guess.....but most believe he will work with tech firms and consumer rights groups and try to reach a compromise! GOOD! I Never liked that "firtz" hollings anyway!!

OH GOD McCain, let see <Flipping through mental rolodex, AHH there it is> Nope he is just as bad, if i remember correctly back in mid 1996 he tried to pass a Bill that would basically make "mature" video games Ilegal, and criminal prosocution could be brought against anyone allowing poor minors to play them, or even buy the game for them.
Oh, and make it impossible for them to go into an arcade that had them. Nope i do not like McCain, he is a lefty just as Fritz is. Well mabye on this issue he will TRY at least to work with the consumer groups and tech industries.
