connection reset... - June 1st, 2002, 04:59 PM

anyone know how to find out which ip resets...really sucks to
finally connect for a d/l and have your "connection reset by
peer" 30 mins. later.

maybe we should start a blacklist.

All I can suggest is try messaging them and see if they can restart your download.

And don't forget to always use retry/find sources and autocomplete when you start a download

blacklist???...i just wanna know why a connection resets and which peer does it. i'm wondering if an ip uses it to 'clean up'
(that right?) it's system. when it happens, i loose most connections and everyone que'd up one by one.

Well maybe this could be fixed in a newer version of WinMX, if once a file is queued it is no longer dependent on the server to establish the final connection.
